Luaren Rice just finished rewriting the record books during the indoor track and field season, but she wasn't satisified. Rice set a new school record in the outdoor 5000-meter run with a time of 17:21.98, which broke the old record by 29.33 seconds. Rice, who is currently 20th in the nationally rankings, placed first in the distance event at the Holst Invitational on Saturday.
